What is a test template?
A test template is a file that contains ready-made secondary injection tests for a specific relay. These test templates are intended to be used for instance at commissioning of the protection relay. The template makes testing less complicated because the user does not need to build up the tests. Also, all tests will be tailor-made according to the settings of the relay with the help of the XRIO converter. This means that the user needs to enter the settings of the relay only once, and all tests will be modified according to that.

The test template can be downloaded from the Internet required you are logged in to the Customer Area at Omicron's web site. To use the test template you must have Omicron Test Universe 2.22 installed on your computer.
Also REL670, REL511C1 and RET316 from ABB are listed in the Protection Document Library document containing a list of manufacturers whose relays have a test template. In the near future there will also be a test template for the transformer protection terminal RET54_.
